Gracie's Baptism

Yesterday we had Gracie Baptized. It was such a wonderful day! Fr. Roland gave a nice sermon and the service was beautiful. Fr. Roland really likes Gracie. He calls her "Lady Grace" and kisses her when he sees her. There were three babies Baptized, but Gracie went first. She didn't cry at all...what a little trooper. Auntie Rae Rae is her Godmother and Uncle Mike is her Godfather.

After the service our friends and family celebrated at my parent's house. We had a great time visiting! It always touches my heart to see how many wonderful people we have in our lives. God has blessed us in so many ways.

Child Prodigy

She is our child prodigy...she's already learning to play the piano!!

Grace Marie is growing so fast! She has discovered how to hold onto things...and of course everything she gets ahold of goes into her mouth!! She laughs and squeals all the time, she is now starting to roll over, and this week she has discovered her toes!! It's really cool to watch her learn how to use her little body! She is truly an amazing gift from God. I stare at her all the time, just absorbing her preciousness. Her smile is absolutely gorgeous and her eyes are very expressive. I told Bryan a few days ago, that I don't know what I did to deserve such a beautiful, sweet little angel. I thank God everyday for her!!

Portraits

We had a photographer take some photos of us a few weeks ago. I picked them up today and they are awesome!! I am posting a few of the images!! They are a bit grainy, as they were scanned into the computer, but you get the idea. Gracie is so photogenic!

New Bedroom Decorations

G.G. (my mom to those of you who don't know who that is) painted some pictures for Gracie's room. They came out REALLY cute!!
Bryan came up with a cool idea to make some hanging decorations for above her crib. We painted one side of some old CD's. At Ikea we found some neat plastic cases that can hold patterned paper. We strung them all together with some sparkling beads. The project came out very cool! The CD's and beads reflect light all over the walls. Gracie likes to look at all the colors and, of course, the bling!!

She Tricked Us!!!

Drying off after "tubby time"!

I love my Simon kitty and he loves me!

Sittin' in my bumpo!!

I am getting very good at reaching and holding on to things now.

Grace continues to amaze Bryan and I. We see her accomplish new skills daily. She is now reaching out for things and holding them for long periods of time. Her "ocean wonders" activity mat has really helped with this skill.

Remember those three nights I spoke about in my previous post...well, she tricked us. Yep, she hasn't slept through the night since. In fact, Little Miss Thing is waking up TWICE during the night now!! I've heard that once babies double their birth weight they will start to sleep all night. That should be any day now. We actually had to bring her to the doctor last week, as we thought she was getting sick. At that appointment she weighed 11lbs 1oz...she has 9 ounces to go!!! She checked out ok, by the way, we think she just had some nasal irritation. Bryan has been really sick, so Gracie and I are trying our best not to catch it!
