Last night Gracie tried yellow squash for the first time. She liked them a lot! She is eating so well! I can't get the food into her mouth fast enough. She waves her arms and kicks her feet feverishly, leans forward with her mouth open, and grabs at the spoon! It's hilarious!!

After her squash she had some prunes for dessert. Those were a hit too! Some of you might say, wow that's a lot of fiber for that little girl. Well, I'm here to tell you that by the looks of her diaper this morning...YOU ARE ABSOLUTELY RIGHT!!

This week Gracie is also perfecting blowing "raspberries". She practices for several hours a day. She realized last night, that it would super fun to practice while she was eating her prunes. Luckily, she's not an expert quite yet, so I did not end up with prunes all over me too. I'm sure it will be any day before she perfects it! At that time, I might have to post a picture of me, with prunes all over, too!

Good Morning Baby!

Family Time

I love this picture because all three girls have the same expression on their faces!

Last night we got to spend some time with Bryan's family. Gracie enjoyed her visit with Dede (Bryan's Grandmother), Kyla, Shea, Papa Joe, and Beekah.

4th of July

We spent the 4th of July with our friends John, Rebecca, and their son Logan. Logan is 4 weeks older than Grace by three minutes. We put the kids on the floor together and Logan immediately grabbed Grace's hand. It was so cute!!

Kids have a tendency to make adults act so silly! When Grace and Logan were on the floor, all four adults were laying around them laughing and making silly noises. Before our babies arrived, we would NEVER lay on the floor making fools of ourselves...at least I hope we wouldn't have!! :)

Classic American Baby Shot

Jack's Big Music Show is Gracie's favorite show on Noggin! If you haven't seen it, you should check it out. The puppets are adorable, and the songs they sing are very upbeat and fun, yet simple! The Laurie Berkner Band is often featured and they are wonderful!!

In this picture, Grace has her eyes glued to the TV!!
That hair looks red to me!!!
Can you tell that we have discovered our toes?

This morning I have a bed to make, laundry to do, bills to pay, a checkbook to balance, dishes to wash, a dog to bathe...the list goes on...but, instead I am taking pictures of my beautiful daughter! We had a "photo shoot" this morning. How fun...she plays and I take pictures! Enjoy!!

Mazie and Gracie Love Each Other!!

I caught Mazie laying next to Gracie this morning. Gracie was grabbing Mazie's face and Mazie would lick her hand. How sweet!!

Rice Cereal

At dinner last night she grabbed the spoon from me again. This time I had my camera ready!!

Rocker Baby!!

Grace's friend, Tank McCorkle, gave her a Guns n Roses onesie. So she had to dress it up a bit!! Thanks again Tank and Mrs. Gina...we love you!

19 1/2 Weeks

Tummy time!!

Simon cannot get enough of that baby. Any chance he gets he snuggles up next to her, or in this case, on top of her!
Sittin' in my high chair!!

It's been a while since I've updated the blog. I have been super busy being a mom!!
Grace will turn 5 months (20 weeks) on Saturday. She is absolutely wonderful! Last Tuesday we took her in for her 4 month checkup..yes, it was a bit behind schedule. She weighed 12lbs 10.5oz and she was 24 7/8in long. That's 6 inches and 7 lbs from birth!

She sits up very well when she's assisted. She enjoys sitting in her bumpo chair, her high chair, and now her new walker. If we put some toys in front of her she will play for about 40 minutes. She seems to very analytical with her toys...she definitely gets that from her dad.

Gracie babbles most of the day now. Her favorite thing is to squeal with a high pitched sound!! I read to her and sing to her all the time. When I do, she moves her lips like she wants to mimic me. Too funny!

She can also roll over onto her stomach and then to her back again. She doesn't mind her tummy time now. I'm glad about that since everyone scares new parents about their babies developing flat heads from being on their backs all the time. I've caught her sleeping on her belly a few times, but since she is so good at holding her head up and rolling over onto her back I leave her alone.

When we sit down for meals, Grace watches every movement we make. She will follow the fork from the plate to our mouths. If she can reach it, she grabs whatever she can off of our plates. So, I've been offering her some rice cereal for the past few weeks. Last night, she grabbed the spoon and helped me put it into her mouth and actually swallowed some of the cereal. You would have thought we won the lottery...these small milestones make our day!!

I thank God everyday for this precious little angel. She's brought so much love and happiness into our world! (With the love and happiness comes lots of laundry and extra expenses, but we don't focus on that...haha!!)
