Baby Raymond Joseph

RJ liked to keep his little fists up near his face. He was pretty active during the ultrasound, too. He didn't like the lady pushing on my abdomen so hard...he kept kicking!

Today I had the fetal growth ultrasound. Little RJ is growing just as he should and the results of the genetic tests were normal.

Grace came with us to the ultrasound and was excited to see pictures of her "puppy". Don't know where that came from, but it was funny.

Bryan and I have a lot to be thankful for!

Happy Thanksgiving!

Sunday Morning Grace-ism

We pull into our church parking lot and I get Grace out of her carseat. As we are walking towards the church she says, "Jeeeesus, where are you? I'm home!"

Getting better at brushing her teeth!

Grace-isms

Grace: "I like rice!"
Daddy: "Well, you aren't getting a lot of it in your mouth."
Grace: "I keep trying."

Mommy: "Do you want to go home with Mommy or stay with GG?"
Grace: "GG!" (as she gives GG a big hug)
Grace: "Mama, go to car!" (pointing to my car)
Well, I ignore her and we all go inside my Mom's house...
Grace: "Shame on you Mama!"
Apparently she was ticked that I didn't listen to her instructions. Man, she's bossy! Where ever did she get that from?

Mr. Walt: "Where's Minnie Mouse's tail?"
Grace: "Right there." (pointing to Minnie Mouse's tail)
Mr. Walt: "Where's your tail Gracie?"
Grace: "I don't have a tail, I have a butt!"

"CHEEEEESE"

We went to visit Aunt Rae Rae and Uncle Marc this morning. Grace loves to play in the fountain. She would dip her hand in the water, then make the sign of the cross. She is too funny!

Happy Halloween

Is she not the cutest little piece of garden decor you've ever seen?

It's a...

BOY!

This past week, I came down with some sort of flu. I ended up having to go to the hospital to be checked because of my fevers and body aches. They checked the baby to make sure that everything was still going well and were able to confirm that he is definitely a boy!! As miserable as I felt that night, the news made my day! Bryan is pretty excited too and Gracie got her brother!

God works in wondrous ways!

Baby B2

This view is looking at the baby's profile, face up, from the left side.

In this view, the baby is face down with his/her arm and hand in view. You can count all five little fingers on that hand. The baby is only 13 weeks along, and is about the size of a medium shrimp. It's amazing that all the little fingers and toes are formed, but yet the baby is still so small.

On October 14th, I had to have an ultrasound and some bloodwork drawn for genetic testing on the baby. Above are a few pics.

New Orleans

The last night we were in New Orleans we took Grace to Morning Call. It is a unique little beignet shop, without the commercialism of Cafe du Monde. We let Grace experience her first beignet and she LOVED it! She even started dipping it in my coffee, like she knew that was what she was supposed to do. She never ceases to amaze us!

Grandma, Gracie, and Mommy!

Happy 99th Birthday Grandma Fox! We love you!

She wasn't sure what to think of that shark!

September

Grace still loves going to school. They offer all sorts of hands on learning activities for the kids. Every morning she runs down the hall, excited to see her teacher!

It has been quite some time since I've posted updates, and boy do I have a lot to post!!

On July 17th Bryan and I found out we were going to have another baby! We were both surprised and excited!! We've been wanting another baby, but weren't sure when it would happen.
We saw the doctor on September 21st and confirmed that I was 10 weeks pregnant. Bryan and I told Grace that Mommy was going to have another baby. We asked her if she wanted a brother or a sister and she said "brother". We will see what happens!

Bike Ride!!!!

Crazy hair after we took her helmet off! She was STILL asleep!

If you look closely you can see her hair sticking out of the top of her helmet!

We got Grace a bicycle seat and her own little helmet. We thought she would hate the helmet, but it turned out that she loved wearing it. In fact, she got mad when we wanted to take it off, so she wore it around the house. Half way into our ride this evening she fell asleep holding onto her little handle. Her poor head was bobbing from side to side, but she wasn't phased and stayed asleep! These pictures crack us up!!

End of Summer

One tired baby!

Gracie and Mazie...under the high chair!

Just look at that GORGEOUS face!
Grace is now getting two molars and an incisor in. Her smile will be even more enchanting!

Bryan and Rie at Uncle Marc's 40th birthday.

The summer has finally come to an end for us. Grace and I are both back in school now. Grace started her very first day of school on July 27th. She absolutely loves it! As soon as we walk into her classroom she wants to get down and play. Mommy cried a LOT, but Grace was a little champ! We are blessed to have found such a nice Christian school.
Grace and I spent lots of quality time with each other this summer. I look forward to our next vacation to share more time together.

Pulling Pluto's whiskers!

We typically don't let her stand up or fool around in the stroller but, in a queue line with what seemed like a million other people with kids, I wasn't so strict. Grace was sitting up on the back of her seat with her feet on the snack tray. She was quiet, enjoying her snack, and having fun....I didn't argue. "What happens at Disney, stays at Disney!"

Stefie, Gracie, and Vanana!!! Too cute!!

Hi Mama!!

Grace watching Mommy and Daddy swing. I'm sure she was thinking, "Who are these weirdos and what did they do with my parents?".

Trying to cram in some more fun, before Grace and I start a new school year, these last few weeks have been action packed. This past weekend we met GG and Grandpa, the Thomas family, and Aunt Rae and Uncle Marc, at the Fort Wilderness Lodge for breakfast. We played on the playground after breakfast then headed over to EPCOT. It was a nice morning...while the weather lasted. Around lunch time the skies let loose and the thunderstorms began. Aunt Rae and Uncle Marc went to ride Mission Space during the first storm. Luckily, Grace and I found a character picture spot. We went inside and waited in line for an hour to see Mickey Mouse, Pluto, Minnie Mouse, and Donald Duck. I was thankful for, one, a dry, air conditioned place to hang out in, and two, a perfectly behaved little girl. Grace was an absolute angel waiting in line. It helped that I packed lots of snacks AND there were cartoons playing on multiple TV's! Sitting in a stoller for an hour is just about impossible for a 17 month old, but Grace was a champ! We had a great time!

Down on the Farm

The ostrich was keeping a close eye on small fingers that might enter through the bars of the pen.
Dad and Grace checking out the ostriches...from a distance.
Pulling the goat's beard!
Petting the goats!
Goats!
Baby duck!
Trying not to squeeze the baby chick too much!
Baby chick!
Relaxin' in the wagon!

Bryan, Grace, and I visited a local farm this morning. We were able to enter many of the pens to pet and hold the animals. Grace had a great time until her new nap time caught up with her. We had to leave the tour early, but we will definitely go back!
