I like the beach!!

This is one of my FAVORITE pictures! She is just precious!!
Grace, Mommy, Aunt Rae Rae, and GiGi spent the night at the beach. It was the start of a new tradition...Girls Weekend!! We had a great time experiencing the beach through Grace's eyes! We are already planning the next trip!

Tutu Time

Gracie enjoys dressing up now. She asks to put on her tutu several times a week!

Daddy Time

After Daddy got done cutting the grass he took Gracie for a tractor ride around the yard!

Oh Tooooooodles!

More Summer Fun!

It has been a REALLY hot summer! You can look at Gracie's flushed cheeks and sweaty forehead and see just how hot it's been. We met some friends at a local park and, low and behold, the Ice Cream Man showed up! So my friend bought Grace her first popsicle! She LOVED it!! Of course, she was completely orange by the time she was done, but bathtubs and Shout work wonders!!

(If you click on this picture to enlarge it, you can see Grace's happy face! She was squeeling as she was running away from the water shooting out of the ground.)
Grace is officially 16 months old! She has seven teeth, a HUGE vocabulary, and such a sweet disposition! She continues to amaze us everday!

Two days ago she looked at me, pointed to herself, and said "Gracie, my name Gracie"! She can tell me who all the characters are on her favorite TV shows, she can sing the beginning of several songs, and she pretends. She pretends to eat and talk on the phone. She will "drink" from her blocks and say "Mmmm, good!".

Grace also loves books! It's great when we are in the car because she is happy as a clam with a book in her hands. She will call out all the animals and other objects she sees in the book. I hope and pray that she continues her love of books!

The biggest news of all is....she POOPED on the potty!! Grace is telling me pretty much everytime she has to go/or has gone poop. It's still a work in progress. She is not afraid of the potty, in fact she loves to sit on it, and will ask to sit on it several times a day. However, she does seem to be afraid to actually use it. I think she will be potty trained before the end of the year...she's a quick study!
